Functional Description:

The goal of PepsiCo’s Operations program is to provide students with the opportunity to leverage their academic understanding in a real-world, business-driven environment. You will have the opportunity to lead hourly teams of Manufacturing, Warehouse, or Traffic associates with varying levels of experience and education. Our campus hires will be responsible for people and team development, quality performance, cost, service and safety. There will be opportunities to develop both individuals and teams; to solve operational issues and motivate team members to achieve performance targets. This position level will vary based on candidate experience and scope of role.Responsibilities

What you can expect:

  • Experience various assignments in Production, Warehouse Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Transportation Engineering, Customer Integration, Commercialization, and Supply Chain Strategy
  • Ability to move rapidly through increasing levels of responsibility, including managerial positions, based on performance
  • Access to a variety of operating models within the Beverage, Foods and Corporate environments; meaning you could support power brands such as Pepsi, Tropicana, Gatorade, Quaker & Frito-Lay and still work within the same company!

In this role, you will be called upon to:

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in: Engineering, Food Science, Operations/Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Organizational Leadership & Supervision, or Business Management (other related majors will be considered)
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • • Proven people/project leadership throughout your academic career (on- or off- campus)
  • Previous experience in an operations environment (on- or off- campus; either through employment, internship, or academic clubs)
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make trade-off decisions quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
  • Ability to give/receive constructive feedback
  • Willingness to work flexible work schedules, including early mornings, evening and/or weekends

  • Spanish language skills a plus

  • The expected compensation range for this role based on a full-time schedule is $62,100 – $85,000
  • Role, degree discipline, degree level, and location are part of the process when determining actual starting salary for positions

· Identifying process efficiencies and solutions to implement within our manufacturing and warehousing businesses. Some examples include: reducing waste, improving safety, improving frontline performance, analyzing/optimizing line efficiency and output, or improving compliance to standards

Functional Description:

The goal of Frito Lay’s internship program is to provide students with the opportunity to leverage their academic understanding in a real-world, business-driven environment. During this internship experience, you will have exposure to a variety of components of the Frito Lay Supply Chain / Engineering organization. At the end of the summer, our interns report out to the Leadership Team on the key business points learned from the internship experience. The position requires a self-directed, motivated individual prepared for a fast-paced environment. Working as an intern with Frito-Lay will provide you with guidance for future management skills and the opportunity to execute key leadership decisions. This internship will last approximately 10 weeksResponsibilities

What you can expect:

Supply Chain Program

  • Assist in the analysis and development of supply chain metrics and business processes

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in: Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, or Computer Engineering; Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems (other related majors will be considered)
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Proven people/project leadership throughout your academic career (on- or off- campus)
  • Previous experience in an operations environment (on- or off- campus; either through employment or academic clubs)
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make tradeoff decisions quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
  • Ability to give/receive constructive feedback

What you can expect in this role 

As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 29th, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

  • Responsible for coordinating the establishment of financial and accounting information within the Charter Communications financial systems.
  • Analyze daily, monthly, quarterly reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
  • Support interfaces between SAP S4 Hana, Blackline, Ariba Procure to Pay, Fieldglass and other systems that feed into SAP or SAP interfaces.
  • Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, and test execution.
  • Responsible for second tier help desk application and business support.
  • Works on projects of basic to moderate complexity.
  • Works on multiple projects as a project team member.

Here’s what it takes to get started 

Required qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
