The 3rd HSI Virtual Career Expo brought together 271 employers from 52 industries across the nation. This career fair is the largest that the HSI Career Collaborative has hosted. The Career Expo was for all students and alum of participating Hispanic Serving Institutions. Students interacted with employers through group and 1:1 sessions and gained insights about career opportunities, work culture, and more.

HSI CC Employer Summit ’21

During the Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) Career Collaborative – Employer Summit, we presented a stellar keynote workshop with a world-class expert in virtual engagement, Jenny Sauer-Klein. In our employer panel, we discussed dual modality recruiting strategy and during our student panels, we explored the topics of effective student outreach and engagement, enhancing the student learning experience and effective DE&I recruitment at HSIs.
Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) Virtual Summit + Expo
April 14-15, 2021
The two-day online event which will be held on April 14th-15th is a joint effort between the University Career Center at UTSA and 13 of the leading HSIs in the country, such as Florida International University, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the University of California at Merced.
The summit will provide a virtual platform for students and alumni from participating institutions to engage with 100+ companies through professional development workshops and a career expo.
