It was challenging and time-consuming because it required us to reach out to every HSI individually for partnership discussions and introductions. It was a no-brainer. A great way to partner across multiple HSI career services experts through one platform and collaborations. Added plus was the conference and career fair.

It’s cut down the time to coordinate and connect with multiple HSI to create strategy plans and cascade our company information and career job opportunities for students seeking cybersecurity, SW engineering and Sales roles. How easy it is to work with the HSI career services members and extreme willingness to want to help employers. It’s refreshing!

Prior to the HSI Career Collaborative we were confined to only hitting a certain number of schools within a given period. With this one event we are able to speak to students across multiple HSI’s. Vanguard is committed to hiring underrepresented minorities. Hispanic Serving Institutions are a key pillar within our LatinX recruitment strategy, and therefore it made sense to be a part of this event. The HSI Career Collaborative has brought to light certain HSI’s that Vanguard had not previously had a relationship with and has since started one.

We were struggling to identify a space that promoted joint recruiting opportunities across multiple HSIs, other than creating one in-house. Great opportunity to establish our brand further in the HSI space; aligns with our Racial Equality Journey (REJ) campus recruiting initiatives. We just had our first event with the collaborative – the virtual career fair in Feb 2022 – and it has yielded candidates with accepted offers. Excited to carry this momentum into future events.
